 Teacher Expectations

Dear Parents/Guardian,

My name is Mrs. Claudia Gomez-Levario and your son/daughter is enrolled in my class this year. I am looking forward to an exciting year. It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging, yet fun, experience in my classroom.

My Food Science and Child Development courses are very demanding. We will be doing numerous hands-on projects that require the students to abide by the classroom rules to assure their safety and the safety of others. Please review the classroom rules and procedures given to your child, sign and return the form to me.

Because work is expected to be done in the classroom and sufficient time is provided to complete assignments, there is typically no homework assigned.  Should a student need to finish their work, or make up work due to absences, students can also make arrangements to complete their work in my classroom from 8:00 a.m.- 8:35 a.m.

I have extremely high expectations of all my students and I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking the parent portal periodically to make sure his/her work is being done.  If there are any questions you can contact me at

(915) 236-2500 or e-mail me at cgomez12@episd.org.

Respectfully Yours,

Claudia Gomez-Levario
